I’m very excited to introduce you to the Windsor Pouch, my FREE Video+PDF Pattern to complement our Sew Sweetness Book Club discussion.
Before you begin watching the video, please download the free Windsor Pouch PDF Pattern here: PATTERN – Windsor Pouch
If you have an electric cutting machine (such as the Cricut Maker, etc.) you can find the SVG Files for this pattern here: SVG File – Windsor Pouch
This box pouch is 9-1/2″ long x 4″ high x 3-1/2″ deep and features a pretty lace zipper as the top closure of the pouch.
For my sample pouches, the yellow pouch was made using fabric designed by Bari J. for Art Gallery Fabrics, and the blue pouch is fabric designed by Tilda.
This project is fat-quarter friendly, giving you a chance to use up some of your favorite fat quarters from your stash.
- fat quarter or 1/4 yard/metre of exterior fabric
- fat quarter or 1/4 yard/metre of lining fabric
- 30” x 8” or 16” x 16” piece of piece of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner
- 1/2 yard/metre 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (medium-weight fusible)
- 16” lace/decorative zipper (I found my lace zippers on Etsy)

Did you get your lace zippers from a specific vendor on Amazon? Or do you have them in your shop? Thank you.
Hi Pam, I purchased my lace zippers from this shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/BeautymeFashion?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=269052724&search_query=16%22+zipper
Although some group members did find them on Amazon. Thank you!
I love your video! I would like to make this bag with a regular zipper could you give instructions on how to put one in?
Hello Cas! You’d need to instead sew the right side of the zipper to the right side of the exterior fabric, then add the lining to the wrong side of the zipper. Thank you!
thankyou, I wasn’t sure if it would make a difference in the pattern instructions
