In this tutorial, I will show you how to add a side strap to a bag or pouch. In the demonstration, I used a d-ring and a swivel clip that were each 3/4″ wide, although you can use other sizes or other types of hardware (such as a triangle ring or rectangle ring).

Hi there! You can usually add tabs for a side strap after you add the interfacing to the fabric (when the side panel is still flat).
