Hi everyone, I’m Samantha, aka Mrs H, from Sewing patterns by Mrs H. I also blog over at ‘At home with Mrs H‘ where you can see a slice of our crazy family life!

Thanks Samantha for choosing my bag to highlight here on Sara’s blog. Just to clarify about my flap: I painted the background fabric, the African woman I drew on in a Zentangle style with a fabric pen and I appliqued all the flowers and hearts and things around the exterior and quilted it all, so the flap is not a commercial print at all; but the other fabrics and lining fabric are commercial prints. I wanted to use the flap like an artist uses a blank canvas and create something different. Even the friend that I gave this bag to didn’t know I created the flap myself, she too thought it was a commercial fabric, LOL!!! I know I am not that good, LOL!!!
