The video for the Hyacinth Bag is now available, and I couldn’t be happier – this is one of my favorite bags to carry, personally, so I know I will love to see all of the Hyacinth Bags popping up with the help of the online workshop!
I wrote this pattern several years ago, so it is always fun to revisit an older pattern while we are shooting the online workshop for it. This particular video is 1 hour and 30 minutes in length.
One of the main features of the bag is that underneath the flap is space to store credit cards and cash in the zippered pocket. I thought it might be handy for, say, if you were going to a quilt show (maybe QuiltCon) and needed to quickly take out cash to pay for all of your fabric purchases. I made my bag using ‘First of Infinity’ fabrics.
There’s also a zippered closure at the top of the bag, to keep all of your things safe and secure. There are topstitched pockets on the inside of the bag, and also a zippered pocket on the back of the outside of the bag.
