My bloggy friend, Bree, came up with an amazing idea for a Sew-Along! Damn, I wish I had thought of it myself, lol! Anyway, I recently got Amy Butler’s Style Stitches book for my birthday, which I posted about here (there’s a link in my post so you can see pictures of all the bags in the book). There are 12 projects in the book. Bree thought it would be great to have a Sew-Along, where everyone creates one bag a month, starting with the beginning of the book. The first few bags are great for beginners, so even if you’ve never sewn a bag before, you’d be able to do these. Then as the difficulty levels progress, you would get more and more proficient at handbag sewing.
Bree was thinking about a monthly link-up, starting in January, where everyone could share their projects, complete with tons of giveaways! I know this has me very excited, what about you!? Even if you don’t have this book, there is plenty of time to put it on your holiday wishlist, or even use some of your Christmas money to buy it yourself (it’s around $16 on Amazon)!

I can’t tell you how excited I am already. I’ve been working through the book with my calendar getting the stuff worked out.
But now a break for some Christmas sewing…
