I’m excited to announce that I will be teaching a lecture and bag making class next month at a quilt shop in Arlington Heights, Illinois (a Chicago suburb)!! They will be held at Quilter’s Destination, which is a great shop!
On Friday, July 26th at 6:30pm, I will be doing an hour-long lecture about bag interfacing. The cost of this lecture is just $10, and all attendees will be receiving a charm pack of 10 interfacings that I commonly use when making bags. This is a handy tool to take with you when you are at the fabric store, so you’ll know exactly what to purchase for your future projects! This lecture is limited to 40-50 people.
Then, on Saturday, July 27th from 9am-4pm (with an hour-long break for lunch) will be my all-day bag workshop. I will be teaching my Petrillo Bag sewing pattern. This class is only open for 10 people, so you know you will be receiving lots of hands-on help from me! While this class is not a class for brand-new sewists (i.e. I can’t teach you how to use a sewing machine), I think this class is accessible for most skill levels. The cost of the class is only $48, which is great for all-day instruction (and the price of the class does include the pattern!).
So how do you sign up for the lecture or the class? Just call Quilter’s Destination at 847-506-6410. If you’re interested in the bag workshop, I’d recommend calling asap as there are only 10 spots. The shop has pretty machines for you to use and a large individual table of workspace for each person!
If you live in Atlanta, you can also take a class for one of my patterns! My friend Allegory is teaching classes at Fabricate Studios!
I wish I could! If you are ever in Alabama ….
Northern CA is soooo far away from Chicago. I am wearing a sad face.
If you ever get to Mpls/St Paul area…
Hope it goes well for you Sara- brilliant!
Yup, I’ll be right over… ;o) Hope it goes well, but I’m sure it will
So far! Hope it goes well.
I will be there!
