Today, it’s a closer look at another of the bag sewing patterns from Windy City Bags. This is the second bag in my new book Windy City Bags, out December 1, 2015. It is available on Amazon and in my pattern shop (books purchased from my shop will be signed by me, ship for free in the U.S. and with discounted international shipping, and you’ll receive a FREE paper pattern from my shop of your choice, an $11 value!).
This is the Delilah Bag. I admit that I have a major problem designing a small bag. I like big fabric prints that I can splash across a large bag. The Delilah Bag is a short rounded bag with a detailed outer flap, and I suppose I am willing to admit that I was still able to use a great print on a small bag. This fabric is from Tula Pink’s ‘Bumble’ fabric line. I love birch trees and in my mind this is Tula’s fantasy version of a birch tree (or at least I’m going with that story).
Again, this bag has a magnetic snap closure, another magnetic snap securing the flap, and a bit of purse hardware in the straps. That front flap is a great place to stash your cell phone or other small belongings.
Rebecca pattern-tested the Delilah Bag for the book. Thanks Rebecca! This fabric is from Tula Pink‘s ‘Plume’ fabric line.
I hope you enjoyed a look at the Delilah Bag! There’s still lots more to come!
