Supplies Needed to Make This Bag

  • 1-1/3 yard/metre of exterior fabric (thick fabrics should be avoided for this particular pattern)*
*if you would prefer to use 2 different fabrics for your exterior, you will need 2/3 yards each of 2 fabrics
  • 1-1/2 yard/metre of lining fabric
  • 1/2 yard/metre of solid fabric for the strap
  • 2/3 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner; if using Flex Foam, it is only 20” wide so please purchase 1-1/4 yard)
  • 4-3/4 yard/metre 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or med-weight fusible interfacing)
  • 1 yard/metre of Pellon P44F or PLF36 Lightweight Fusible non-woven interfacing (or other non-woven interfacing)
  • Three 1/2” magnetic snaps

Note: This pattern uses foam interfacing for a structured bag; however, if you would prefer a slouchier bag, which also lends itself well to the style of this bag, you can use Pellon Thermolam (or equivalent interfacing) instead of the foam interfacing. Thermolam will also be easier on your machine. If using Thermolam instead, you will need 1-1/4 yards. If using faux leather, vinyl, etc. for your exterior fabric, it is recommended that you use Pellon Thermolam instead of foam.
