Where can I find the name of the next book?
Hi Nancy, here’s a link to the main Book Club post; I will update it as each month goes by: https://sewsweetness.com/2019/01/sew-sweetness-book-club.html
Hello Sarah, I think your book club is a great idea. I’m a month behind & have just read ‘The Sewing Machine’. Luckily it was available in my local library. I loved the book.
It’s generous of you to offer a free bag pattern with each book. I’ve made a few of your Minikins 1 patterns. I also find your video tutorials helpful.
I read the 2nd book over a year ago, but might have to re read it. It is another lovely book.
Thanks for all that you do to share your skills & ideas.
Sue
Thank you so much, Susan!
Bonjour, peut-on trouver ce livre en français ?
This is so much fun! I am way behind with the reading – finished the sewing machine last night but loved it! I’m trying to catch up 🙂 Thanks for the patterns too
I really enjoyed the post about the sewing machines. I learned to seasons in Facebook a Singer treacle machine that was my mothers. She bought a Brother electric machine that made many doll clothes, dresses, pants, and mended a lot of wear and tear from my four brothers. The year I graduated from nursing school 1967, MT dad took me to a Bernia Store where I bought my first sewing machine for 270$?. I had a lot of trouble justifying spending that much money before my first job. Now, 65+ years I am still sewing on that machine! I was given a top of the line Singer with all the attachments and bells and whistles, that sits in my closet. My Hernia has sewn Teddy bears,
dresses, pjs and many more things and is still sewing! I just wish I had taken the time to make written notes, it would be fun to read! I am going to find this book to read for myself!
Thank you for your website, I love it!
Thank you so much for sharing your story, Aileen!
