I’m so excited to introduce you to the Minikins! These are 12 patterns+videos to make useful and easy-to-sew accessories that everyone will love! These are perfect for gifts and craft fairs too!
Check out my trailer video showing all 12 of the Minikins in detail!
Bellevue Pouch
The Bellevue Pouch comes in 3 different sizes and just needs a fat quarter each for exterior and lining (plus interfacing and zipper)! It comes together quickly with just front and back pieces to cut out.
Binary Pouch
Make a beautiful Dopp or cosmetic bag for your favorite person! Two top zippers open wide to a large compartment on the inside!
Cotton Candy Pouch
The Cotton Candy Pouches are an adorable set – you can make them all in one fabric or split up the exterior with your favorite feature print and coordinating fabric! The pouches open wide and zip closed for a sleek finish. I used my favorite Tula Pink large-scale prints.
Desktop Cube
These little cuties require no zipper and come together with two fat quarters and a bit of interfacing. The perfect desktop accent!
Grab and Go Sleeve
The Grab and Go Sleeve is everything you want it to be – literally! Take your favorite device or other item (Bible, book, whatever!), and using the length and height measurement of your chosen item, I’ll walk you through how to make a customized sleeve with handles. Fast and easy!
I-Spy Pouch
The quickest out of all the Minikins, at just 9 steps, these useful pouches have clear vinyl on the front for see-thru storage.
Jetset Cinched Bag
This cute little drawstring bag has mesh pockets that makes it perfect for holding your liquid bottles through the airport! A cord lock keeps the drawstring cinched.
Morsel Lunch Bag
Lunch bags are great for both kids and adults, and this quick lunch bag features grab handles and a recessed zipper to keep everything secure. You can use laminate fabric to make the lunch bag whip-able, and insulated fleece if you’d like yours to be insulated!
Moto Pouch
Fat quarters bring this pouch together quickly! Use your favorite directional fabric on either size small or size large.
Sidewinder Pouch
The Sidewinder Pouch uses non-directional fabrics that wrap around from front to back, and a cute little side panel! Again, use up a couple of fat quarters from your stash!
Trifle Tumbler
This pouch is a classic barrel shape with a handle on one end. Another great use for your fat quarters, this pouch is finished on the lining with binding.
Zeppelin Pouch
I used some beautiful border prints from Alison Glass to make both pouches. This pouch is actually just a front and a back piece (and of course the handle) that comes together through some clever origami-like sewing!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the Minikins! Grab yours today – and be sure to post your finishes in my Facebook group, I love to see them!!
Can you tell me the name of the blue and yellow fabric on the binary pouch?
Hi there! It was designed by Alison Glass, the fabric line is called ‘Diving Board’. Hope this helps!
One qüestion: the videos are subtitle? I’m Spanish and I’m afraid I could’nt understand the speaking completly
Hi Inma! Unfortunately, the videos are not subtitled. Thank you!
Can we order the minikins patterns separately or are they only available in the bundle of 12.
Hello Marda, they are just available in the pack of 12. Thank you!
What are the dimensions on these guys? (I realize you say in the video, “big enough for scissors and rotary cutter” or “big enough for pens” or whatever, but I’d like some numbers since the size of those things can vary somewhat). Also, how are the linings finished? I expect no raw seam edges, and a couple mention binding, but are they mostly binding, or are they nice and smooth seams on the inside mostly? I’d like a few more details because it’s a lot of money to buy so many patterns at once, but I’m really tempted… 🙂
Hello there! There is only 1 pattern (the Trifle Tumbler) that is finished with binding. The others are completed seams on the lining. Is there a particular pattern that you would like the dimensions on? I do have them listed on each individual pattern instructions but not on the website (since there were so many patterns and sizes). Thank you!
The three I’m most interested in are cotton candy, the lunch bag, and the zeppelin. Though from looking at the pictures, it looks like none of them are so complicated that I wouldn’t be able to figure out how to resize once I understand how they’re put together?
I’m new to your site, and just found all the mimikins. How do I order the bundle, since they came out in 2017?
Hello Linda! You can find that here: https://sewsweetness.com/products/minikins
Thank you!
