I’d love to be taught by Nancy Zieman! I love the bags she makes on her show.

  2. Amber says:

I’d actually love to get them from my grandmothers. I wasn’t old enough to be trusted with scissors when one passed away, and the other one tried to teach me, but I wasn’t interested with what she had to say, and I regret that.

  3. buncobuddy says:

I would love to have Jenny Doan pay me a visit and help me sew a fabulous quilt!

  4. Rita S. says:

Would love to learn from my mom. That woman could make anything!!

Thanks for the chance to win!!

  5. Carrie says:

I would have one of the local quilters demonstrate and guide me how to quilt well with a home sewing machine. [And my next choice would be to find someone who instinctively understands how to select fabrics for home projects… teach me the ins and outs of color/print combining for effect.]

  6. Ooh, so many wonderful sewers out there! If my Mom was still living, I would spend another day sewing with her. It would be fun to be able to take a class with you learning even more professional looking techniques for zippers and how to do rivets. I want to learn to add rivets to my bags.

  7. I would love to learn some FMQ by anyone who knows. Thanks

  8. Terry D says:

I would love to have Jeni Baker come to my sewing room and teach me how to pull fabrics from my stash to coordinate on a project. I have serious color issues. Thanks for the giveaway!

  9. lucilledupuis says:

I would love to have someone from Wild Ginger drop by and talk fit. I use their software to draft clothing patterns and I love it!

  10. sonja says:

Hmmm….fun to dream of this actually happening! If I had a time travel machine, I think I would choose a sewist who made gowns for Queen Elizabeth I!

  11. Danette says:

I would love to learn free-motion quilting. So maybe Natalia Bonner. I have her book, but I need more help and more practice.

  12. linda says:

It would be Bonnie Hunter so I could use up all my scraps

  13. Nicole Mallalieu would move into my house for a month and teach me how to design and sew fab-u-lous handbags.

  14. Jennifer D says:

I would love to be taught the knowledge that both my grandmothers had. They were both amazingly talented ladies! They were both in the National Embroidery Guild, could knit and crochet beautiful items, could take almost any fabric and turn it into a well tailored garment, and so many other things. Sadly, by the time I was old enough to be interested in the skills that they both possessed, I lived many, many miles away and gleaning all that information was impossible. Now they are both gone and so is their knowledge. 🙁 Neither of them would have been considered “modern” or even considered that fmq on a domestic machine was feasible, but can you imagine the knowledge that either one had in their 90+ years life?!

  39. SonJa says:

While I’ve come a long way with my FMQ and I’m pretty good at it on my domestic, I think there is always room to learn more….I’ve def got to pick Leah Day! I found her blog just after she started it up and never knew there were others out there that did that stuff on a domestic until just recently….but, being as she is only 45 minutes from me, there’s a chance it COULD happen…plus, she seems pretty cool and well rounded too, jack of all trades kinda like myself, so, I’d def pick her.

  49. This is a tough one! Would you come over and make bags with me? Thanks for the fun!

  50. I am shy and self-conscious about my sewing, so I would probably have an anxiety attack!! But what I would really love to learn about is interfacing with Sara Lawson, because I love making bags (obviously!!)

  51. Sarah says:

I don’t care who it would be, I would just like to have someone teach me free motion quilting.

  52. Every person who has ever told me its just to hard to sew.

  54. Carmen N says:

I think I’d like to have someone come teach me FMQ as I’m too scared to try.

  55. Gayle S says:

I would love to have Jenny Doan come and teach me how to quilt. I’m terrified of the the light/dark and matching fabric’s to make a quilt. I want to try one so bad but it would take me forever to pick fabric and I would probably have a meltdown. Now, sewing up bags, that’s a different story.
