I hope you are excited about that Janome sewing machine prize – thank you to Pink Castle Fabrics for this amazing prize! I actually have this same machine (I bought it about 1-1/2 years ago). Since my main machine is straight stitch only, I use the Janome DC2015 for all of my garment sewing (don’t get me wrong, it’s fantastic for bags as well!). I love the stitch options as well as the ease for threading and sewing. It’s a fabulous machine and it’s safe to say that my sewing machine arsenal (I also have a serger and a Janome Coverstitch) is ready to work hard any day of the week!

Pink Castle Fabrics is pleased to offer the Janome DC2015 sewing machine at a sale price of $599. Purchase this sewing machine by April 30, 2017 and receive a bonus $60 gift certificate to www.pinkcastlefabrics.com. Looking for a different Janome machine? They have a ton of others in stock also, including this embroidery machine that I’ve been thinking about.

I want to make one bag for this contest. If I also post on IG with the indicated tags, does that mean it’s only entered for the IG portion of the contest or will it also be considered for grand prize, creativity prize, etc?

  6. Pamela says:

I guess I am a newbie in all this. I’ve made a couple bags, which means baggy. lol This will put some creativity to the test. I bought one of your crafty type bags to try this! Thank you.

I’m so excited to make a bag for a chance to win one of these terrific prizes! I made my first bags a few year ago, but I’ve been afraid to try anything as special as what you create. This contest is just the incentive I needed to try again. Looking forward to receiving my patterns and starting on this project!

I don’t have time to do it. I’ve got things made hat are yours but this fibromyfaga has taken a role on me this last wintet

    1. Shelley K says:

Sharon: I hope you are feeling better! I also have fibro as do so many others. Not much fun living with pain almost continually, but that’s another story. There are many support groups on Facebook which deal with fibro specifically. I belong to a group called:https://www.facebook.com/groups/218293151536881/?ref=br_rs. Fibro Friends & Support Group.
You are welcome to visit our page and join our group if you are interested. Hope you have a better day soon! Shelley K

  15. Gert says:

I started making my bag, and when I was almost finished, I read about this contest! So I (accidentally) started and finished it on time 🙂 Thanks for this contest, fingers crossed!

  16. Lane says:

Hi, have been making bags for about 6 months, teaching myself. I found the Kennedy bag and baker st bag as free downloads. Everything free goes into my file. Started April off by making the Kennedy then two more, I wanted a zip on top so tried the baker st. love all my bags. Yesterday I saw the competition. Great. Thank you.

  17. Shelley K says:

I cannot remember all the numbers of the bags I adored above so a few are 12, 24, 30, 117 (and I forgot a bunch). So many appear to be professionally finished! Love the craft bags also. While I have purchased many of the SEW SWEETNESS patterns I have yet to actually make a bag. Thought I would be finished with daily babysitting by now, but births do happen. In another four years I will be able to dedicate more time to sewing – heck anything! Until then I will continue to be dazzled by everyone else’s accomplishments. Keep up the great work! Thank you for the fantastic patterns and ideas!

  18. Debra Rhodes says:

When does this end Sara? Thanks

  19. Kay says:

Where do I find out who won the bag contest.
