I decided to share my favorite bag sewing patterns across the internet, that would be perfect for taking with to a sewing retreat or sewing class.
So let’s kick off my list of my top 10 Travel Bags, in no particular order!
The Noodlehead Maker’s Tote is great to take some hand sewing or craft projects with you on the plane. Available in two sizes, tailor it to your artful projects!
What better to sit pretty on the counter of the bathroom in your hotel room than my Crimson and Clover Train Cases? Perfect for all your hair products, make-up, whatever!
The Cozy Nest Rollie Pollie Organizer is perfect for taking cosmetics or sewing tools with you and hanging them over a sewing table or in the bathroom at your hotel. The zippered pouches are also removable, making them especially handy!
What better carry-on bag for your flight than the Betz White Weekend Duffle Craftsy class. This video class will take you through every step of the way of making this great bag!
The Emmaline Bags Necessary Clutch Wallet (this sample sewn by Veronica of sewVery) is a wallet staple. If you’re making a new bag to take to an event, of course you need a new wallet!
Take notes at Sew Pro with a beautiful storage space for your notebook and pens…my Creative Maker Supply Cases, available in 3 different sizes in one sewing pattern.
Bring your laptop along to the event in the Swoon Dorian Messenger Bag. Side strap and top handle make it easy to tote around.
Another fantastic way to take along all of your belongings is the Sewing Patterns by Mrs. H. Weekender Travel Bag. This sample is clearly travel-bound!
And you’ll certainly need a new purse…what about…
The Chris W. Designs City Slicker
or the Noodlehead Super Tote?
Hope you enjoyed this look at some great travel bag sewing patterns!
I made myself a Noodlehead Makers Tote for Yorkshire Modern Quilters Retreat last weekend. It was brilliant for all my supplies and was hugely admired! I need a laptop bag next so will have a look at some of the other bags. Thanks for the great list!
A great list of bags. I saw where you recommend the first one for sewing projects on the plane. I am flying next month and had wondered if I could take a hand sewing project with me. I wasn’t sure if I could take a needle and small scissors on the plane or not.
Fun post! Thanks for the reminder of some bag patterns I have, and some I “need”!
