Today is the kick-off of the Jaybird Quilts Sew Along! I am a huge fan of Jaybird Quilts patterns, and I have a rather large collection of them in my stash. So when trying to decide on a fun sew along for my readers for spring, this one was a no-brainer.
This sew along will roll out in two phases; in Phase 1, I will be introducing you to a Jaybird quilt created by my talented group of guest bloggers! You can check my blog every weekday from April 21st through May 13th, where you will find a new guest post every day highlighting the quilts they’ve made and reviewing the patterns.
Here is the schedule of guest posts that will appear:
April 21 – Lynn @ The Little Red Hen – Science Fair
April 22 – Scott @ Blue Nickel Studios – Seaside
April 23 – Emily @ Mommy’s Naptime – Mini Disco
April 24 – Hadley @ Flying Blind on a Rocket Cycle – Jawbreaker
April 25 – Kelly @ Kelby Sews – Giggles

During Phase 2, I turn the creating over to you! Enter your completed project here! You have until Friday, June 13th to make something and be eligible for some outstanding prizes!! You can find Jaybird Quilts patterns and rulers at Fat Quarter Shop. Here are the rules to be eligible for entry into the contest:
– Check out all the quilt pattern reviews throughout the sew along and get inspired to make your own! Your entry may be from a paper pattern or a pattern from Julie’s book ‘Skip the Borders’.
– If you will be adding an item to the linky pool below to be counted as an entry, it must be sewn and photographed from April 21, 2014 through June 13, 2014. Any items completed before April 21st are not eligible. You may enter a link via your blog, Flickr, or other photo-sharing site.
– You may add as many items as you want, as long as you made them each within the time frame. If you are making a quilt, the quilt top is adequate to be entered. Anything smaller (pillow, table runner) should be completely finished.
There will be 1st – 3rd prizes chosen from all entries submitted to the linky pool below. Julie Herman, owner of Jaybird Quilts, will choose the winner! There will also be one randomly-drawn winner from the pool. Thank you so much to the lovely sponsors of the event for offering some amazing prizes!
2nd Prize and 3rd Prize
I hope to see your finished project in the linky pool soon! Until then, grab a button, sit back, and enjoy the quilt pattern reviews!
