Welcome to the October Challenge! Every month there will be a new challenge and you’ll have all month to get your entries in. This month we’re going to have TWO challenges. You can enter one or both but can’t submit the same entry twice. One randomly chosen winner for each challenge will be awarded a $50 gift certificate for Sew Sweetness and be announced in the next month’s newsletter.
The Minikins Season Four challenge this month is to make Hildegard’s Notion Trunk. I love this organizer for stowing knitting, sewing supplies, just about anything you can think of! The pocket in front has elastics to hold pens or other tools, and the rigid dividers on the inside are removable thanks to Velcro (hook and loop)!
The other challenge this month is to add mesh, vinyl, or fold over elastic to a Sew Sweetness pattern that doesn’t specifically call for it! You could add a vinyl zipper pocket, a mesh pocket to hold a water bottle, or even a section for an ID card! I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
I added a mesh pocket on the side of my Promise Ring Backpack to hold my water bottle.
