I love fitted garments, but as I get older I’m learning to love flowier styles to keep me comfy all day long 🙂
BOTH!
Definitely, flowy!
I prefer fitted clothing.
It all depends, for me. Lately, I like flowy garments. But if I have a flowing skirt, I’ll pair with a fitted top.
Flowy. Helps you dry off in all the Florida humidity
Flowy for sure
Definitely fitted!
I like flowy.
Love the look of fitted, but flowy is so much easier to make. :/
I adore the flowy and fitted combination of the Syrah skirt. I’ve had that skirt on my wish list for.ev.er!
I like them both. After a pretty big weight loss, I am enjoying fitted, but flowy can be really flattering, too.
I like them both – it really depends on what the article of clothing is and where I am wearing it.
I like them both! It really depends on the pattern. In dresses I like a fitted top and wide skirt.
I love the Syrah skirt–I have had my eye on that for a long time! 🙂
I forgot to answer the question! 🙂 I like the best of both; fit-and-flare styles in skirts are probably my favorite.
I like fitted around the top and flowy bottoms.
I’m a big girl, so I tend toward floaty.
I prefer flowy.
Fitted!
I like sewing flowy clothes because they are super comfortable.
Flowy for casual — so comfortable. Flowy with a fitted essence for business. I just can’t imagine ever wearing restrictive clothes ever again.
I like both, but since you asked i realized i gravitate toward flowy more. Interesting 🙂
Flowy, but the right kind of flowy (aka: not a tent, and not “maternity top flowy”)!
I like things that are more fitted.
I like flowy tops and fitted bottoms
I’m a fan of both, flowy is good for hot summer days and fitted is good for work! Thanks for the giveaway!
Prefer flowy to tight/fitted
Flowy- I am a bit lumpy for fitted. 😉
I like both, depending on the fabric and the pattern. I really like the contrast of combining flowy and fitted.
A mix of both. I have a pear shape so I tend to find things looks better on me fitted
I like when things are fitted at the waist and flowy elsewhere. 🙂
Flowy!
I like fitted around the waist – don’t mind if ti’s flowy everywhere else! Thanks for the chance to win these lovely patterns x
I like flowy garments for everyday and fitted for a special occasion. The Sirah skirt and the Foxglove tank will be beautiful and comfortable for summer!
I probably prefer flowy, but I usually wear one flowy and one fitted piece of clothing every day.
I prefer flowy both style and sewing wise, but I do like to make fitted things occasionally. My favorite dress silhouette would definitely have to be a fitted top with a flowy bottom.
Mostly flowy, but a fitted top and flowy skirt or fitted jeans and flowy top are common combos.
I like both as long as I feel balanced and have a waistline.
My preference is float – I don’t have much experience fitting patterns. Also I prefer a looser fit garment (at least until I shift the baby weight!)
fitted in the winter and flowy in the summer.
Thanks!
Flowy!
I prefer fitted but when it’s hot flowy is a good choice!
Fitted – but I’m still relatively new to this so it’s a challenge!
That’s an interesting question. There are occasions for each. Although my preference is for flowy, I get more compliments when my clothing is more fitted.
MPaula
I prefer fitted, which is why I’m drawn to sewing for myself.
I am rather large so I prefer long and flowing. I like the skirt
Flowy in some places, fitted in others?
I prefer fitted most of the time.
I liked a fitted top and more floating in the bottom half!
I prefer sewing flowy type clothing for myself ( curvy gal here), but when sewing for others, I like to fit them to their preference of style and measurement.
I generally prefer fitted as I’m barely 5ft tall and flowy can seem overwhelming on my frame.
I used to love fitted, but now that I have a bit extra around the middle, I am opting for flowy.
My niece says I need to “embrace my curves”, but still, I think I’m a little too curvy for fitted, so flowy it is. Cute patterns. Thank you for sharing and for the give away.
I prefer a more fitted style, with strategic flares to camouflage my ample curves and short stature. Flowy just gets into way too much fabric.
I like flowy–so comfortable!
Fitted.
I like the idea of flowy clothes, but I don’t think they look good on my body shape. Semi-fitted works best, especially since I’m too self conscious to go for overly fitted!
I like both really, on different days and different times of the month! I find fitted generally more flattering for my curvy shape.
Flowy
Flowy, at least until I finish my custom dress form that’s in progress this month 😉
I prefer fitted tops and loose bottoms 🙂
I really prefer something that fits right in between the two. Not too clingy or tight but not so flowy that I look pregnant either. I hope that makes sense.
Fitted 🙂
I love flowy for sure!
Definitely fitted on top but I’m a sucker for a flowing skirt!
Flowy-ish! I always joke that my body style is “barrel”. I have no waist at all, so I love things that hang nicely and are not too tight. Thanks!
My me made may has mostly become me wearing homemade tank tops. Oddly I don’t have a racerback tank or a high low tank. I seem to be living in tanks so the Foxglove is the perfect addition to my life and sewing.
Love flowy on top (thanks to a mommy tummy) and fitted on the bottom! 😉
I like to have a combination of flowy and fitted items in my wardrobe. It depends on my mood and how I am feeling about how I look on a particular day.
I prefer somewhere in between. Let’s call it skimming.
Flowy, post baby body needs flowy.
Fitted, even though I do not have a perfect body. Usually flowy tops just make me look much bigger than I am.
I used to prefer flowy, but these days, I favor fitted.
I like the ease of flowy, but fitted looks better 🙂
I like flowy, but there are some things that just make you look better when fitted. Both have their place.
Both but only one flowy and one fitted piece together (not a flowy shirt and skirt or fitted shirt and skirt)
I like both, but I probably have more confidence with flowy!
I prefer flowy.
Flowy. I love sewing with ITY knits and recently made myself 5 maxi dresses, some short, some long, some sleeved or sleeveless from 1 pattern. SO COMFY.
I like flowy.
I like how I look in fitted, but I like the feel of flowy best, so both.
Fitted for work, flowy for the weekend!
Fitted primarily but sometimes you really need a flowy top.
I like flowy – more forgiving!
If it’s a top like that, I prefer fitted. thank you!
I like semi-fitted. Too flowy and it tents to look like I’m wearing a tent. Too fitted and I feel like attention is being drawn to areas that I’m not quite happy with.
