Purse Palooza Giveaway :: Dog Under My Desk

This post is part of Purse Palooza 2013.

Today’s generous giveaway sponsor is Dog Under My Desk, a pdf bag pattern shop by Erin Erickson. A bit about her cute business name from her website: When I started writing PDF sewing patterns, the name Dog Under My Desk just seemed appropriate. My Yorkies really do sleep under my desk all day (and night) while I design, endlessly prototype, and photograph my bag patterns.

The yorkie pictures on her website are too darn cute and tie in her creative name appropriately with her beautiful bag patterns! This is one of my favorites ~ for the cute bag pattern as well as the adorable yorkie hiding inside of it – not sold with the pattern, sorry folks!

One lucky winner will receive their choice of 4 pdf patterns from Dog Under My Desk!

We’ve been viewing a lot of patterns here at Purse Palooza but Dog Under My Desk has some really unique and fun ones I’d like to highlight.

Circle Zip Earbud Pouch
Do you have the same issue that I do, of your ear buds getting ridiculously twisted together inside of your purse? This is such a convenient and cute way of storing them and a really fun miniature zipper pouch I’d love to learn to make myself! The circle shape and small size would be a fun challenge and I really like the key ring attachment so you don’t lose your pouch or buds.

MakeMeUpCover
Make Me Up Before You Go – Go
This giveaway is now closed. The winner is #147 Donna Baker.

Not only does this little pouch have the most creative name ever, I absolutely love the open mouth design with the unique binding around the zipper and edges of the bag. As she mentions in her pattern details: While the original idea was for a large makeup bag that opens up wide enough to see all the way to the bottom, you may decide you need a dozen of these. I couldn’t agree more, I want a dozen now and I don’t even have the pattern yet!

Last but not least, I am really digging this drawstring backpack pattern:

BackpackCover500
Bigger on the Inside Drawstring Backpack
These drawstring backpacks are so useful for picnic, gym and other quick to carry and unpack activities, as well as just fun and cute for an every day purse walking about town! I appreciate that the backpack strings secure the top while in use so no one can reach inside and grab your goodies and definitely am adding this to my “to make” list for the future!
