Welcome to the 2013 Purse Palooza giveaways!
Sara truly has rounded up some wonderful sponsors this year and I am excited to be able to introduce you to our first one today ~ Charlie’s Aunt. The Charlie’s Aunt collection comprises 40s and 50s inspired sewing patterns for bags and other stitched accessories ~ and let me tell you, these vintage patterns are simply adorable!
One thing I love about these patterns is that the fabric options are endless! These bag styles are sure to appeal to both vintage and modern tastes and each pattern showcases several fabric combinations to get your creative juices flowing.
One lucky winner will receive their choice of 6 pdf patterns from Charlie’s Aunt!
For some eye candy, as well as help choosing if you need it, here are a few of my favorites:
This is a fantastic twist on the messenger style and I absolutely love the button accents on the handle and the front flap! The pocket on the front is not only fashionable but functional, as your larger items are accessible and yet still secured by the buttons.
How can you resist that adorable bow? And yet the option using applique or embroidery is gorgeous too, I want to make one of each!
This is such a great size for a clutch because really, what girl only needs a cell phone and lip gloss these days?
Last but certainly not least (I could gush about every one of her patterns!) is this fantastic saddle bag. Have you ever seen such an unique flap? And the asymmetrical accent opposite it to adds even more eye catching appeal.
This pattern would be fantastic in any print you choose but I am really enjoying her use of flannel and am craving this in black and white hounds-tooth!
