This week’s free tutorial is the Bird Mobile from Spool. I say this all the time, and I can’t fathom why I haven’t made this project yet, but this is pretty much at the top of my to-do list.
I love the little birds, I love the real tree branches, I love everything about this project. My only qualm is that I’m not sure I can narrow my favorite fabric scraps down to a few birds…it might turn into a whole swarm!

I would love to make this, too! I agree, which fabrics to choose? That always gets me!
I made these years ago, and my girls still love them! We moved from mobile to stuffed toy and the baby went through a phase where she had two or three with her at all times. I highly recommend this one, it is so whimsical!

The birds are the cutest. Maybe when I have to make a baby gift I can do something like this.
