Two More Josephine Tunics

So, I made two more Josephine Tunics on Saturday (you can see my first one over here). Super quick, and after the first one, they take even less and less time to make (these I’m guessing 2 hours).

This first one was made using a new Art Gallery Fabric by Angela Walters from the Drift line. This print is called Aquatic Lace Sapphire. I will always choose the brightest and biggest print of fabric, and so I loved this one. I love this fabric so much as a garment, I think it is very pretty detailing and colors!

The next tunic was made using another Art Gallery Fabric, this time Bonnie Christine‘s Sweet as Honey line. This print is Orchard Blossom Spring. The colors are soft and sweet, perfect for…uh, spring. If it ever gets here. 😉

Several of my friends (ahem Katy) have begged me to stop making clothing until it gets warmer (I don’t know if you saw from one of the photos, but snow was actually falling when I took these). I keep saying I won’t, but then another project idea hits. Please, I’m begging myself, no more clothes until it’s above 50 degrees.

  1. These are beautiful. I love that you centered the drift print to go with the pleating. I hate to think how much work that must have been. As always, you’re work is impressive.

I had the same thought as Andrea – that really stood out to me as a very professional thing to do when making that tunic with that fabric. Lovely work.

  5. I NEVER sew for myself…but I’m tempted to make one for myself. 🙂 It may help me pretend there is not a few feet of snow on the ground LOL! Cindy

At least when the weather does warm up and is nice you will be ready to go and not having to worry about sewing something.
I love the colours and the way the top looks. Keep sewing I say!!

I love them. And you are such a great model….if I didn’t know where you live and how cold it is I would never guess you were out in frigid weather just to share your pretty creations.

  12. These are really pretty! so pretty, in fact, that my three-year old daughter who is now sitting on my lap and drawing while interrupting my screen time, saw your pictures and said… “Aaawww… A Princess!”

Yeah, she’s three. And she loves princesses. And she thinks you look just like one.

I think the tunics look really cute, too! 😉
