I was so excited to be asked to participate as part of the Travellin’ Pic-Stitch Blog Hop! I am a beginner at English Paper Piecing; all I have done previously are some paper-pieced hexagons. But I am so very interested in learning more!!
My block (which is still a work in progress) was made using Katy‘s fab-u-lous Spring Carnival quilt pattern. I went on a few flights last month, and somehow this is all I got finished (??). I have tons left to do.
I made the palette for my block using Palette Builder. I was supposed to take a vacation photo, but we haven’t gone anywhere this year (except for me), so I took this great photo of my kids at the playground:
Thanks for stopping by, and don’t forget to check out tomorrow’s post over on Better Off Thread!
Love the leaf blanket pic 🙂
Your block is looking good. Do you have any plans for it yet for when it’s finished or is it a wait and see what it wants to be?
Beautiful colours – keep at it!
Love those rings you pieced and the fabrics you chose! Your kids are adorable. How far apart in age are they?
Ha, you got more done on your flights than I did, and I was trapped on 2 of them for nearly 12 hours lol Looking good though :o)
You did a great job! It is so addictive and portable – hope you enjoyed it! I did a little on the last flight home to keep me from going crazy. (Was at the 32 hours awake point by then). Advantage of handsewing on a plane is you have a sharp weapon you can ‘accidentally’ jab ppl with if they start say painting their nails next to you!
Gorgeous, love the colours
such great fabrics and I love the picture you chose to use with Palette Builder.
