Use of the handmade carrier is at your own discretion and risk.
Supplies Needed to Make This Bag
- 1-1/2 yard/metre of Exterior Fabric
- 1 yard/metre of Lining Fabric
- 1-1/4 yard/metre of Solid Fabric for Handles and Straps
- 1/4 yard of vinyl-coated mesh, also known as pet-safe screen (or pet-safe mesh from the hardware store)
- 1/2 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner; if using Flex Foam, it is only 20” wide so please purchase double)
- 3 yards/metres of 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or medium-weight fusible interfacing)
- 1 yard/metre of Pellon #71 Peltex or Decovil Heavy
- Two 1” d-rings or triangle rings
- Two 1-1/2” swivel clips
- 1-1/2” metal slider
- Two 24” handbag zippers
- Two 40” double-pull handbag zippers
- Four 12” x 5-1/2” metal frames
- 6” long piece of of 5/8” wide hook and loop closure (Velcro)
- 18-3/4” x 11” piece of 1/4” plywood or 1/8” hardboard with rounded corners
- Optional: 6 purse feet
- For the fleece bed that fits in the carrier: 1/2 yard fleece or minky fabric and 2/3 yard cotton batting
