I’ve been using the comic boards for years, but never secured them worrying about rust. Thanks for the alligator clips tip.

I really love this trick! I finally got all of my fabric folded onto comic book boards. I was shocked at how much fabric I had. I had to reorder the supply of boards twice! Haha! Now everything looks so nice and it’s easy to see. Thanks for the tip!!

Hi, Thank you for this tip on storing fabric. I have a very small sewing space and a large amount of very varied fabric. This method works for everything from cotton to silks, fleece, teddy bear fur and most surprisingly, leather. I often buy full leather hides which can be anywhere from 40-70 sq ft and they are a nightmare to store – this works a treat. One word of warning – this method can gain you space which you may feel compelled to fill with more fabric! Thanks again.

I use plastic covered paper clips to secure the fabric. No rust, cheap, easy to find. Another option.

I use the comic book boards for fabric 1 yard or more, and cut them in half for fat quarters or pieces smaller than a yard. The smaller boards fit in a sterilite container perfectly and is easy to see and the larger ones in the cube shelves.

I have never seen this before.

I’ve been using the magazine boards and the plastic clips like you have. I stand my fabric up in wire cubes. I like that I can see all of my fabrics so when I’m creating I can mix and match patterns and colors. When I have 2 yards of fabric I use them too. Instead of folding then wrapping around the cardboard. I fold the fabric in half lengthwise. put the board near the end and just roll it up. That way if I want to cut off 1 yard I can without issue.

I have been using comic boards for 3 years. I fold in half as you do, but I don’t double wrap so I can unwind what I need. I stand them up like little books on shelves. I don’t wrap fat quarters because I have so many. I mostly make quilts and other cloth items. Bags are a struggle, but watching your videos makes me want to make a few. I absolutely love your fabric choices. Thank you for sharing your gifts.
