This bag comes in two different sizes, a shoulder bag and a tote bag. The front of the bag features a functioning zipper pocket as well as a magnetic snap slip pocket. The bag secures with a recessed zipper. Plenty of pockets in order to keep your items secure!

The pdf pattern includes 13 pages of sewing instructions, complete with 37 step-by-step color photos.

Also included in the PDF pattern are printable pattern pieces for your home printer. The following files will all be included with your PDF pattern purchase:

  • SVG Files (for electric cutting machines, such as the Brother Scan N Cut and the Cricut Maker)
  • Projector Files (for use with home projectors for cutting out fabric; please see the group Projectors for Sewing for more information)
  • A0 Files (large-format 33″ x 46″ pattern page for printing at your local copy shop, in case you would rather not tape together the pattern pages that are included in the PDF pattern)

Supplies Needed to Make This Bag

  • 1 yard/metre of exterior fabric
  • 1 yard/metre of lining fabric
  • 1/2 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or auto
    headliner; if using Flex Foam, it is only 20” wide so please purchase 2 yards)
  • 2 yard/metre of 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or med-weight fusible interfacing)
  • 12” x 9” piece of fusible fleece
  • Two 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” (3.8cm x 3.8cm) squares of Pellon Peltex or Decovil Heavy
  • Four 12” handbag zippers *if using zipper-by-the-yard, do not cut until later on
  • 18” handbag zipper for top closure of bag
  • 1” metal slider
  • 1” metal rectangle
  • 1/2” magnetic snap
