The Yarn Minder Bag was my answer to the request for a bag that could tote knitting or crochet projects while on-the-go. I received a lot of feedback from knitters and crocheters on what they wanted from this type of bag, so I came up with 3 designs to satisfy those needs. There is a Drawstring Bag, Flap Bag, and Zipper Bag included in the pattern.
The PDF Pattern for the Yarn Minder Bag contains 17 pages of sewing instructions, complete with 47 step-by-step color photos. The add-on video is 2 hours and 9 minutes long, and I’ll walk you through how to make the entire project from start to finish in the video.
The most fun aspect of the Flap Bag and the Zipper Bag is that the lining contains a 4-way divider, so you can keep all of your yarn separated by project!
The grommets in the lid of the Zipper Bag version allow the yarn to feed through the grommets of the bag, while the Flap Bag version allows yarn to feed through the side of the flap. Ample storage space in the mesh pockets on the outside of the bag will let you store your knitting needles or crochet hooks, and there is also a Scissor Minder attached to the straps so that you can keep your snips within easy reach!
Thank you so much to my pattern testers for offering critical guidance in making this a bag that all knitters and crocheters will enjoy! Please check out their lovely work below!
