VIDEO: Infinity Scarf with Cork or Leather Cuff

Today, I’m sharing a video on how to make a quick last-minute gift. I realized that I needed some teacher gifts but I didn’t have a lot of time and wanted to use minimal supplies since I was needing a lot of gifts. I thought an infinity scarf would make a great gift, and I recalled seeing a store-bought scarf that my sister-in-law was wearing several years ago that had a snap-on leather cuff on it – the leather cuff really elevated her infinity scarf and made it look special.

Before you watch the video, please download the template for the Cork or Leather Cuff here: Infinity Scarf with Cork or Leather Cuff

Supplies Needed to Make the Infinity Scarf:

  • 2 yards of fabric (rayon, voile, velveteen, jersey, and many other substrates will work) – if you would like to make a scarf with 2 different fabrics, you will need 2 pieces – 72″ x 22″
  • 10″ x 4″” piece of cork or leather (if you are using thin leather, double it up with 2 pieces)
  • 2 pearl or KAM snaps (I like the Size 16 Snap Setter tool)

I used rayon fabric designed by Rifle Paper Co. to make my scarf, along with cork fabric.

    I can’t find the video!

I enjoyed your video and plan to make an infinity scarf. I do wear scarves, they seem to really dress up even just a plain tee shirt. Living on the central coast of California, we do not have a lot of cold weather, so I prefer the lighter weight fabrics for my scarves.
Rayon type or silky fabrics. Thank you so much for making it look so easy.

Very nice video! And I will definitely make this scarf, it’s beautiful. I do wear scarves, mainly in the winter or dressing up for theater or events.

I love watching your videos. I wondered if you could recommend a sewing machine that is rigid enough to go through many layers of fabrics, i.e. to make bags?

Hi Christine! Here’s a video that we made about my sewing machine: https://sewsweetness.com/2018/01/my-sewing-machine.html?v=7516fd43adaa
