Splendid Sampler Block Storage + Giveaway

My friends Pat Sloan and Quilt Jane authored a book that just came out called the Splendid Sampler. This 100 block online quilt along was made into an already-successful book, also named the Splendid Sampler (so successful that it already went into its second printing on release day!).

Look at Pat’s beautiful Amethyst Project Bag that she made with her pincushion block front and center! I think this is a really special use of my pattern, and I was so excited to see it. The fabrics used in the project are also by Pat Sloan and called Sunday Drive.

    What fun for you to do this! I love making baby quilts and lap quilts for cancer patients. I think this tote would be a fantastic piece to make & give the patients to carry their items in when they go for chemo treatment. So colorful!! Thank you for your helpful hints!

  78. I enjoy sewing quilts the most since they can be used forever. Bags are next because I usually want to use my handmade bag instead of a purchased one. And lastly, maybe Halloween costumes.

  79. I’m very big on sewing clothes. I’d say my top 3 are knit tops, woven skirts, and fun cotton dresses 🙂 But if I was making “clothing” just one category, it would be 1: clothes, 2: bags, and 3: home decor
