Announcing the prizes for the month of June for the City Sampler Sew Along, which will be drawn on June 30, 2013! As a reminder, the winner for June will be a random drawing out of all of the blocks that have been completed up until June 30th (according to schedule, that is the first 15 blocks). If you are just joining in, every Monday there will be a blog post right here for three blocks, and at the bottom of the blog post will be a linky button which will allow you to enter your blocks into the group. Please make separate entries for each block, and only that week’s blocks please! If you need help or further direction, feel free to e-mail me (sara(at)sewsweetness(dot)com).

In June’s prize pack is a set of Tula Pink thread from Aurifil! These are lovely variagated threads that were created to coordinate with any of Tula’s fabric collections! And the perfect compliment to this is a batting to use for your finished City Sampler quilt…this month’s selection from Pellon is the Legacy Natural Cotton Batting in queen size.

Westwood Acres on Etsy  has also generously offered a $25 gift certificate; Westwood Acres is the home of the curated bundle. There are bundles of fabric lines and also beautiful bundles put together from various lines to give you some beautiful, hand-picked results!

And June’s winner will also receive the pdf quilt pattern of their choice from the Tula Pink pattern shop! There’s tons to choose from, including the ‘Modern Alphabet’ pattern!
I hope you are having fun with the sew along so far! It’s been amazing seeing all of the blocks coming in. You still have a few weeks to get your blocks together for a chance at the June prize! 🙂

I finally made some decisions about my fabric and I am ready to sew. My DD comes foir a visit tomorrow, so I will not catch up this week, but I will get started.

Waiting to see this week’s blocks, I picked out some focus fabrics yesterday, one floral and the other a paisleyish swirl, and am pullingthe rest from the stash, lots of bright colors I think and no greys so it must not really be “modern”
