Julie –
Hey everyone!! I’m excited to share blocks 13, 14 & 15 of the #tula100 quilt a long with you.

These are the last 3 blocks in the “Crosses” section of the book. I have 12 of the 15 blocks from this section made. Once I find the perfect fabrics for the other 3 I’ll get caught up.

These are the fabrics I pulled for block #13. They are Neptune, Parisville, & Salt Water.

My Block 13 & Tula’s Block 13. I used the same color family, without using the exact fabrics she used.

These are the fabrics I pulled for block #14. They are Salt Water, Full Moon Forest & Prince Charming.

My Block 14 & Tula’s Block 14. I used one of the same fabrics that Tula Pink did in her block, I just used it in a different place in the block.

These are the fabrics I pulled for block #15. They are Night Shade & Plume. With this block I have now used some fabric from all 12 of Tula Pink’s fabric collections.
My Block 15 & Tula’s Block 15. I did the opposite of Tula Pink & used the lighter fabric in the background with the darker fabric for the crosses. This is one of my favorite blocks I have made so far.

EmilyHello again! I finally got my lovely Acacia fabric from Free Spirit. I talked to them in Portland at Quilt Market last month and expressed my desire to sew my blocks with it. They were so nice to send me fabric early so that I could get my blocks done and share them with you. And let me tell you, this fabric does not disappoint.

Block 13 uses two different Acacia prints. The background and the lighter crosses. When I first started this block I thought I could be tricky and chain piece again. But as it turns out it was much easier to follow the diagram in the book.

Block 13

Block 14 doesn’t use and Acacia but it does use a print from an earlier Tula collection- Hushabye. I love the whole process of choosing different fabrics for each block. I have yet to make a block that doesn’t look good from the fabrics I’ve picked.

Block 14

Block 15 is all Acacia. I love the print that I chose for the background. i think it’s my favorite so far. These plus blocks have been so fun! Are you addicted yet?

These are so beautiful. I can’t decide if I want to buy the book in paper back or if I want to have the book pushed to my tablet in the Kindle edition. I’ve never had a pattern book on my tablet so I hope I don’t forget that it’s there if that’s the route I choose to go.

Loving the differences you can see just with fabric choices :o)
