Over the weekend, I made Whirling Star, block 2 of the Solstice Stars quilt along over at Fresh Lemons Quilts. This is a paper-pieced block, and I had an awesome time making it. I had to rip a couple of seams at the beginning, but after that it was smooth sailing. Faith’s directions are really good, and I went with her tip of labeling my paper pieces before I started sewing, in order to keep it straight which fabrics went where.
I also had time to make block 3, Another Star, in the same evening. Each block took about an hour to make. Block 3 is a pieced block, and it went together fairly quickly. I like that I am all caught up on the blocks now…looking forward to make block 4 this Wednesday!
It’s not too late to join in on the quilt along 😉
Majorly cute! I love that you chose the print as your background and solids for the pattern–so cute.
Nice colours!
