I decided to join Faith’s Solstice Stars quilt along last week. The blocks are beautiful, and I definitely wanted to use some Kona solids for mine. I didn’t know what to use for my background fabric, at first I thought gray, then maybe a polka dot in black/white, but I found this charcoal gray print in my stash and figured, what the heck? I went back and forth about whether to make a full-sized quilt or not, but I think I will just make a wall hanging for my sewing room with all 5 blocks straight across.
Surprisingly, I finished block 1 right on time. The first block was the Ribbon Star. I had a lot of fun, and the block was quick and easy to finish thanks to Faith’s instruction.
It’s definitely not too late to join in! Click the button below to take you to the full schedule and tutorials!
