Sew Sweetness Videos are here!! Today is the day! I’ve been working really hard the last couple of months to get these videos out into the world, and Sew Sweetness Videos are finally here! I wanted EVERYONE to be able to sew my patterns, especially the visual learners out there, and I hope you will LOVE these videos!
My husband is my partner in this venture, and neither of us had any experience or knowledge about filming, lighting for videos, or editing. Some days, especially when we were playing with lighting and an appropriate studio setup, I thought to myself, “This is too hard – I don’t know if I can do this.” It was a great experience to go through, because we finally made it through all of those hard things and now shooting video is really fun – I love doing it – and I know that the videos will be helpful to so many people.
First off, I would like to share the important detail in that while the online workshop videos will be available for purchase individually, and that option will be forever, I have a 4-pack Video Bundle option at a great price of only $40, and that bundle option is only available from May 22-29, 2017 and then that bundle goes away forever. It won’t appear a year from now – this bundle is literally only available until May 29th, so don’t wait – lock yours down today! With the 4-Pack Video Bundle, it’s almost like buying the pattern and getting the video for free, so it’s an amazing value!
And what if you already own one of these patterns? No problem!! Just click on the product listing of that pattern, and in the dropdown box, you will find the option for ‘Video Only’.
My husband put together these lovely trailer videos for each pattern so that you can get a taste of what the videos will look like. I sew through the entire project from start to finish and leave no detail out – I will even show you how to cut out your pattern pieces and attach the fabric to interfacing!
The length of each video is as follows:
- Creative Maker Supply Case – 1 hour 14 minutes
- Cumberland Backpack – 2 hours 18 minutes
- Appaloosa Bag – 1 hour 25 minutes
- Kismet Trinket Boxes – 1 hour 12 minutes
After purchase, the videos will be available in your account forever, and you can watch them at any time!
To make searching for supplies easier, each video has a listing of all of the supplies and tools that I use. If you’d like to pick up a supply kit (which contains everything needed for the project, add your own fabric), I have the following available:
- Creative Maker Supply Kit
- Cumberland Backpack Supply Kit
- Appaloosa Bag Supply Kit
- Kismet Trinket Boxes Supply Kit
I hope you loved these trailers and that you will love the videos too! I have more videos planned for later this summer, so please sign up for my newsletter (if you haven’t already) for updates on that! And subscribe to my YouTube channel for updates on free videos as well!
Happy sewing!!
Thank you Sara for ducha a thiughtful idea. I am a self taught desee and considera my self Advanced beginner. Right now I am trying to learn how to Sew bags and have had many moments when I want to throw everything out the window.
Sometimes the instructions you are reading are not clear and the author does not include a photo of every step. Many of the do not offer a sew along of their products so you have to keep struggling and ripping off until the Ahha moment comes and you finally get what they mean in their pattern.
I’m sure that life will be easier for me and many others with your idea. You don’t have an idea of the great contribution that these videos will be on our path to success. I and many others will finally get to the point of understanding, anticipating and even see an alternative way to sew an item. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and much success to you and your husband.
Thank you for your sweet comment! I often teach to quilt guilds, and many times the students have not made a bag before. My mission is for everyone to be able to make a bag, no matter their skill level, and hopefully the videos will accomplish this!
Most designers offer free videos on you tube for most of there patterns. You get $$ when watchers join your you tube channel why should we pay again for a pattern we purchase. I do not think that is right. I think you will be hurting yourself. Just my opinion. I will not pay for a video if I have purchased a pattern. I am sure there will be someone out there that will do one for free.
Thank you for your comment Virginia! I completely understand your viewpoint. I will be offering tutorials and patterns on my YouTube channel from time to time, because my goal is definitely to help teach others techniques that will help with any bag-making. The patterns that I used to create the online workshops can definitely be made strictly from the pattern (they are comprehensive with full-color step photos), the videos were just something extra for those out there that needed one step more. My business supports my family, and that’s why I am happy to mix free patterns as I always have, with the patterns and videos in my shop. 🙂
Sara – I love the idea of these videos. Can’t wait to watch them. FYI, in the email I got from you announcing these, the 2nd link to the 4 pack Video Bundle takes you someplace else – not to one of your pages.
Oo! Thank you for catching that!
Hi Sara! This is very exciting. Congratulations on your new class videos. They sound wonderful. The prices and purchasing options are really nice. Good luck! I wish you much success.
Hi Sara! I purchased and watched the Creative Maker Supply video to check out the quality and value. It is EXCELLENT! I am a visual learner. Your professionally done video not only made the bag-making process clear and straightforward but taught me several tips and techniques I would not have gotten from a pattern.
The price of the video is very reasonable and well worth it. I will be buying more videos in the future. Thanks for such a great offering.
Why thank you Mary Lee! I am so happy you liked the quality of the videos; we worked really hard on them (as I mentioned above, figuring out the lighting was quite a beast!). 🙂
As someone who has trouble with 3D sewing, I think these could truly be a life saver! Great job!
Thank you Beth!
This is really terrific. I think your videos and supply kits are a brilliant addition to your overall brand offerings. Nicely done!
Thank you so much Debbie, that means a lot!

Michele
