The Peppernoot hooded coat is a beautiful outerwear pattern that features a high hood, front zipper and zipper pockets. This coat is timeless and can be made casual or dressy just by changing out the fabrics you choose. Choose a glamorous white wool suiting for a date night or a more casual tweed for an everyday coat.
The Cookie Zipper blouson is a casual jacket with raglan style sleeves, a front zip closure and zipperred pockets. The hem, collar and cuffs are made with a contrast knit and the front and back  bodice are gathered for a comfy and modern fit. This would be such a fun everyday fall jacket in a vintage plaid!

    For a coat for myself, I would most certainly choose a wool blend in gray/blue hues or camel/brown, my favorites.

    Wow, I really love this coat! Perhaps every color?! I think I’d love one in a navy blue, but I’d have to look around and touch and feel to decide the type of fabric.

    I have big plans to eventually make myself a trench coat. When I first decided to do this, I bought some off white to make it, but now I’d love to make on in some bring colors – yellow or green.

    The Pepernot coat is really beautiful. The speckled red/white fabric perfect for that design. I don’t need a coat now, but if I were to make it, I would use something similar.

    I just got some sample fabrics from Mood. I have been thinking about making a coat but knew I needed to save some money to make it happen the way I want. I have my eyes on a nice red plaid wool and then a really beautiful black virgin wool. I think they would both make lovely coats but have to pick one to start with…

    I would choose a wool or wool blend, and the color would be black. For heavier jackets, the only color better than black is a darker shade of black. 🙂 Or, it would be interesting to try in denim.
