Melissa’s background in theatre as a teacher/costumer combined with over 30 years of sewing experience, has lead her to create some of the cutest kids and adults sewing patterns.

Today’s giveaway is for three PDF patterns from Blank Slate Patterns shop!

Blank Slate - Oceanside-Pants-7_grande

The Oceanside Pants and Shorts, an easy drawstring pant with patch pockets. Sizes range from XXS-XL and have an elastic waistband combined with a fabric drawstring.  These are a fast sew and are perfect for linen.  Shorten the leg length for some great beach shorts!

blankslatepatterns_boatneckdress-2_grande

The Shoreline Boatneck and Dress is an alternative to a t-shirt. It has lots of variations for woven and knits.  If you don’t like the traditional boring tee shirts. This shirt is a must try!  Sizes XXS – XL.

Blank Slate - tee-x-3-1_large

The Tee X3, will easily become a staple pattern if you have kids. Sizes 18mo. – 8yrs.  The options are endless from traditional tee, peter pan collar with keyhole closure, add a hood or a fun kangaroo pocket to the front! Your kids will LOVE this top, you will love how fast it sews together.

Blank Slate - prepsterpullover-w_large

And finally the Prepster Pullover, again boys clothing patterns are the hardest to find! Even harder, are unique and fun patterns. This top is a classic mandarin collar with 3 buttons and patch pocket.  The detailed sleeves with tab and button set this top apart from most indie boy patterns. This comes in sizes 18mo. – 8years.

Lots of choices with sleeve lengths. This one is just too cute!

I am enjoying sewing for my grandbabies! I made my grandson his christening outfit, with lots of pintucks, and his Christmas outfit in red corduroy, with a green plaid newsboy hat and shoes. Now I need to make some pretty dresses for his twin sister. She wore the Christening dress I made for her mama 35 years ago.

  2. Janna says:

Not really, I recently made a sundress for my granddaughter but that is it.
