Introducing my Aurifil thread collection

006

I’m really excited to show you my thread collection for Aurifil. It is available in small and large spool boxes, and I decided to title my box ‘Big City’. The colors are bright and fearless, just like the fabrics I love to sew with! The colors coordinate with my Jungle Ave. line for Art Gallery Fabrics (which you can pre-order on Pattern Crush, and it will also be available in many more shops in June!), and I added two purple spools in there because what’s a rainbow of thread without purple? 🙂

I chose 40wt threads for my collection (which is signified by the ‘green’ spools’). 50wt is very common for piecing, but I like the 40wt because it is slightly thicker and is perfect for bags, garments, and machine quilting. Lots of layers in your bags require very strong thread, and this is my go-to thread for all of my projects. This is a high-quality thread that definitely won’t look linty off the spool (or in your finished project!). I’ve been using Aurifil for a few years now. The large spools last me foreeever! I have a small collection going on my thread holder, but the rainbow colors in my collection are definitely the most-used for me.

I hope you like my thread boxes! If you’d like to pick up a box for yourself, they are available in my shop (just click the ‘Shop’ tab above!), and as a special bonus, free shipping is available in the U.S. (and discounted shipping internationally).
