Quilt Market: Tula Pink

I’m feeling very lazy to post my photos from Quilt Market, but I must post these from Tula Pink’s booth from Quilt Market in Houston, as I actually made a few things, which I was very proud of (I didn’t eff anything up!). Tula Pink was promoting her new line for Free Spirit Fabrics called ‘Fox Field’, out early next year (I think I saw March, but don’t quote me on that).

These fabric-covered suitcases are fab, especially with the pink detailing.

And I really must have this chair…it now ranks #2 in the list of things that I must steal from Tula Pink (#1 being the octopus couch from her Salt Water booth).

This was one of my favorite quilts that I saw at Market – this was made using Jaybird Quilts new ‘Night Sky’ quilt pattern, available now. I was lucky enough to pick this pattern up at Market. I’m still debating on what fabrics to use, but I think I might just want an exact replica of this quilt, haha.

This is an absolutely amazing quilt made using Jaybird Quilts‘ ‘Disco’ quilt pattern, out now! It’s made using her Sidekick Ruler, which I have and is absolutely wonderful and easy to use.

And here’s some things that I made! Tula asked me to make a dress, and so I mish-mashed two Colette Patterns sewing patterns…the Eclaire Dress for the top half, and the Truffle Dress for the bottom half. My original plan was to attach feathers to the top of the bodice, but I didn’t want to screw anything up, and I really only had a few days to make these things, so I just let it be.

Here’s a pink Aragon Bag that I made for the booth…I love the color combo on this one.

I also made this purple Park West Bag. The horses! Gah!!! I told Tula’s brother, Cameron, last December that I was putting in a request for fabric with horses on it. He didn’t say at the time, but the designs for this line were already in the can, and so I’ve gotten my horses! Woohoo!!

Here are just some photos of the bags at my house, before I sent them off.

And this is a green Aragon Bag that I made for myself to carry around the Market floor. Green is my favorite color, and I was so happy that I had this bag – it really fits a ton of stuff! Besides that, there are so many pockets and compartments, everything I had to tote around was in easy reach the whole time.

Here are some proper graphics of the whole line. The colors are just so amazing. I was tickled about the polka dot rabbit prints – I think I might have to buy a bolt of each of those. Because you can never have too many polka dots.

Way to GO, Sara! It’s fun seeing something you’ve worked on at Market, isn’t it? Sometimes I get to quilt for MODA & see the ones I’ve worked on in their booths. It’s always a boost! Keep on sewing!

I don’t think I saw the bottom detail on that dress!!! It is such a great dress with classic lines that are just kicked way up by that detailed piecing on the skirt. 2 thumbs up. I love the bag in pink, I loved it already but that pink, and I am not usually a pink person. Hmmm
Can hardly wait for Tula’s new line to be out.
