City Sampler Sew Along: Blocks 73, 74, and 75

Julie – Hey everyone!! I’m excited to share blocks 73, 74 & 74 of the #tula100 quilt a long with you. 

We are 3/4 of the way done!!
These are the fabrics I pulled for block #73. They are Prince Charming & Plume.
My Block 73 & Tula’s Block 73. I fussy cut the frog just as Tula did in her block.
These are the fabrics I pulled for block #74. They are Fox Field & Full Moon Forest.
My Block 74 & Tula’s Block 74.  I fussy cut the stars from Fox Field do they wouldn’t get cut off in any parts of the block.
These are the fabrics I pulled for block #75. They are Fox Field & Plume.
My Block 75 & Tula’s Block 75. I also did fussy cutting with this block.

Sara – I was really on my game for the blocks this week, which made me very happy, especially since there don’t seem to be too many pages of templates left! Yay! I’m a bit jealous of Julie’s Prince Charming block though, it is fab. 🙂

I found the blocks in this section to be a lot easier and faster than some other sections of the book; some of them I had less than 5 minutes of sewing time.

I’m really happy that we’ve all gotten so far together; if you started strong at the beginning but ran out of steam part of the way through, it’s not too late to pick your book up again and jump back in! I see snow outside in Chicago right now, so what’s better than getting cozy and working on some quilt blocks? 😉

    Yes – I know I changed the look of Block # 74 – but I didn’t really like it…..so made a small change 🙂
