Sara – This week, we’re getting into the ‘Squares’ chapter. I really enjoy all of the visual interest that the squares create. If you’re using prints in your blocks, this is a great chance to fussy cut your fabrics!

Now that we have the finish line in our sights, what layout will you be choosing for your quilt? What background fabric? I have decided to use this newsprint fabric for my background, and I will be using the Gridlock layout. At first I thought I might like to arrange the blocks on point, but I think I may just lay them out just like Tula Pink does.
I hope you’ve been keeping up with the blocks – there are some amazing prize opportunities for those that complete a quilt top for the end of the sew along in January! I’ll be announcing those really soon, so stay tuned!

So, if you are sewing along at home, be sure to link up ONLY blocks 70, 71, and 72 in this post (you will have time to link up your other blocks in future posts). Please link up separately for each block. As a reminder, you can link to your blog post, Flickr, or wherever else you are hosting your pictures. You must link up here on this post in order to be eligible for the monthy prize, to be awarded on November 30th!
I am really enjoying seeing everyone’s blocks on Flickr. What a range of fabrics.
