Corrina of Another Thing Off the List is another very accomplished bag-maker! She’s pattern-tested a bunch of bags for me, and they have always been as professional looking as can be!

I selected Amy Butler’s Beautiful Bella bag. I love Amy Butler. I think it is because the very first bag I made was an Amy Butler pattern. I have made several other Amy bags since. I have to say not all of them were easy! The Weekender is actually on my list of bags to do this year but that was going to be way too big of a project for this! The good news is the Beautiful Bella bag was an easy one!! The instructions were easy to follow and made sense because there are pictures to go along with them ( I am a visual person so pictures are so helpful!).

I used the Poetica line from Art Gallery for my fabric.

The only alteration I made to the pattern was to make the handles longer. I did this by just laying down pattern piece down farther on fabric and extending lines to top to make  the extension.

I love the hidden cell phone pocket that Amy includes in a lot of her patterns! So cool!

I would recommend this bag for anyone who loves to sew bags. It was easy, came together quickly and will hold a ton of stuff!

Thanks for stopping by!
