I so need a new iron! Headed to read your reviews right now!
Headed over there right now. Also, how does one clean an iron (starch build-up and a bit o’ sticky gummy where some interfacing melted on it!) ?
I have to go read….I love that iron in the pic…love that it lifts up if you leave it flat…I call them feet. I do not have one but we have one at the shop.
Which iron did you end up buying? Each model from each vendor are different. I have the Black and Decker digital iron and love it. Years ago the Black and Decker classic would eat the corners when pressing patchwork, the new one does not. I have seven old Rowenta irons that in verious stages of disrepair. They are great when they work, but break often.
I need a new iron not sure what to buy…..guess I will do some reading!
A good iron is a necessity when quilting. Can’t wait to read your reviews!
Your research has been so helpful. I have gone through quite a few irons but still keep going back to a Rowenta. I’m always looking for the. Ext one!!
I know, right?? Funny thing is, this blog post was from almost 4 years ago and I’m still using the Singer iron from the post! I even bought 2 more (for my sewing retreats)!
