New Sponsor: Pattern Pile

If you love making bags like I do, you’ll love my new sponsor, Pattern Pile! This site is a great resource for both free and paid PDF bag sewing patterns (the paid patterns are called ‘Designer Patterns’, because they are professionally written and drafted); a large visual directory of what’s available on the internet, if you will!

One of the nice things about this site is that while you are browsing the patterns available (such as the one below for the Sunburst Sling Bag, which caught my eye), Pattern Pile links you to free tutorials that might be helpful while constructing this pattern (in the example of the Sunburst Sling pattern, there are links for a recessed zipper tutorial, zippered pocket, bag handles, and an exposed zipper pocket).

Another fun bag pattern I saw featured on the site was the Ruby Bag. I really appreciate reading the pages on Pattern Pile because in addition to the run down about the pattern, there is also extra conversational writing done by Susanne, the site owner, about which fabrics she might choose if she made that bag, other tips and tricks she has for working on patterns, etc.

If you’re interested in getting all of this information in your inbox so you’ll have it at the tip of your fingers, I’d suggest signing up for the e-mail newsletter.
So Pattern Pile? A great site that you should visit. It’s always wonderful to have some fare for pinning on Pinterest, or to keep in your mental library so when you’re in need of the perfect project, you don’t have to look to far, you just need to pick out the right fabric. 😉

Yeah. I found the Happy Bag on her site. I already ordered the pattern from the Etsy shop and found a paper pieced seed flat pattern for my next paper piecing adventure.

  4. I’m going to go check out the site. Thanks
