My quilt is all finished! This was made with Tula Pink’s new line, ‘Salt Water’, which should be arriving in most shops next week! You can pre-order the line here and here!
I showed you my pieced quilt top last week, and here it is all finished and washed! Nice and crinkly and cuddly soft! I made this using Pellon 100% Natural cotton batting, and Aurifil Thread 50wt. The piecing I did with white thread, and the quilting was done with #4669 Variegated Blues.
I used the same fabric for the binding that I did for the triangles on the quilt top (which is from Tula Pink’s ‘Parisville’ line), and the backing fabric is Denyse Schmidt for Joann’s. I chose the fabric because the green was similar to the Seaweed colorway of Salt Water, and also because this quilt is for my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas, and they used some Denyse Schmidt fabrics for the gift bags at their wedding, and I thought they might appreciate seeing this fabric again.
This is absolutely gorgeous Sara. I bet they’ll love it!
Fabulous!!! Love it, Sara!

Lovely guilt and fabric.
Nice. I can’t wait to get my Saltwater.
it’s beautiful! I’m sure they will really love it!
It looks fab, I’m sure they’ll love it (I wanna see the photo outtakes though ;o) )
I do love the look of this line, but I’m seriously tempted to get the hexie kit that’s coming out for the wave quilt, especially after the machine sewn hexie class at SS!
Simply beautiful! I’m sure they’ll love it!
I like the seaweed color line but the coral is my favorite. Can’t wait until I get it.
Beautiful!
