This post is part of the Tula Pink Sew Along!
Hi, I am Kim and I blog at My Go-Go Life. Thank you following along with this very cool Tula Pink event. I was so happy to be able to make this Kiss Kiss quilt ( it is still just a quilt top) using the Tula Pink pattern. It was simple, fun and turned out to be so amazing!!! The pattern is well written and easy to follow. It has very good graphics for the visual learner ( that would be ME) and I feel it is for very level of sewer and is VERY beginner friendly.
I was lucky enough to have some Tula Pink Nest left over from making a pillow for a secret swap back in May. I LOVE this fabric and seriously wish I had more!
The laying out was the most fun! To figure out which fabrics worked together and I went way outside my box and added no white ( I know Sara is so proud of me at this moment).
The pattern sizes available are 60×60,82×82 and 104×104. I chose to make the 60×60 but changed it when I added a top and bottom scrappy border. The dimensions of my quilt are 65×52. I hope you will give this pattern a go!
Very sharp! Good for you for trying something “out of the box” for you and skipping the white. Looks fab!
Lookin fab! I’m not gonna use white either 😉
Kiss Kiss is the pattern I chose to make, I love it though mine’s a more modern looking take on it as I used a lot of Kona Solids. It means it will work well for my 9 year old son.
Nice one Kim x
Really nice Kim, I like the feature fabrics feature. Does that make sense?…
So bright. Love it.
Love the fabrics and the layout ~ really a sweet quilt!
Oh so in love with this quilt. I have the pattern and I have to go find fabric to use in this one.
