I finished my bag for Quilt Market just under the wire…I have so many errands to run today, and I still haven’t started packing. Yikes!
For my bag, I used 2 quilted New York Beauty blocks from the quilt along – 1 for the front, and 1 for the back. The blocks measure 15″ x 15″, so that’s approximately the size of my finished bag, too. For the sides of the bag, I used elastic at the top to bring it all together.
There is also a magnetic snap on the inside. It’s a stiff bag, using a combination of Pellon #TP971 fusible Thermolam Plus and Pellon #520F. The light blue binding on the sides is hand-sewn.
I also made a name badge holder using some text fabric…there is some clear plastic vinyl, and I used Pellon #520F interfacing, so it’s a stiff badge.
Busy, busy, busy…I have to hem one more dress to take with (as back-up), so I’ll show you that either later today or tomorrow morning before I leave. 😉 Wish I could take you all with me in my carry on bag!
