Thank you, lovely readers and followers!

Thank you to everyone for sticking with me as I get moved and settled in!! Thank you to everyone who sent good luck wishes! I don’t think I had time to personally respond to everyone, but I just have so little time to get on the computer right now. I hope you understand! The house was a fixer-upper, so it’s still a work in progress. I still haven’t unpacked about half of the boxes. So much to do, so much to do…

I am usually very particular about getting new projects completed to post to the blog, but I think I will probably need until the end of the month to get some new things to show you. In the meantime, I hope you will join in the ’12 Days of Christmas Sampler Quilt Along’ that was announced last week! So much fun in store!

For now, I’m going to leave you with some ‘Before’ and ‘After’ photos of my living room…my favorite part are the great Anna Maria Horner Lou Lou Thi curtains that I made! Super simple to make, and I’ll be posting a tutorial on how to make these grommet curtains really soon!

BEFORE: Living room. Burnt orange walls and really gross, scratchy bamboo wallpaper on one wall. Also, notice the awesome vintage roll down flap windows.

AFTER:  Living room. Fresh coat of paint, new windows, and a great stereo from my dad! Yay!

Your living room is looking really good! I am so anxious to move, and one of the reasons is that I desperately want to make curtains with that fabric as well! I swapped for a yard of it a last month and knew then that it really needed to be made into curtains…you have confirmed that. They look beautiful!

  4. Yay! They look great!!

Your curtains are really cute. It has been a long time since I sewed any curtains. That pattern looks pretty easy.

  8. I love your curtain! I can’t wait to see the picture when the room is finished. 🙂

  9. Fantastic curtains!! 🙂

  10. Those really “make” the space! Way to go on the grommets… I’m still not convinced that they could be as easy to use as you say. 😉

  11. I LOVE the fabric you used for your curtains. Which one is it??

  12. That looks great! What a change you’ve made.

Where did you move??!! Hopefully not too far! I love those loulouthi curtains! If only I had an excuse to make myself some!

  14. I love your curtains! I’m actually embarking on a curtain extravaganza myself. I’m using Art Gallery, Modern Affair in Citrus Flirty Something… anyway, its discontinued but I found a bolt at a local quilt shop! I was a little nervous about using a large ‘modernish’ print for my family room, but I quickly got over it. It makes such a difference in the feel of a room! =) Yours look great!
