I’m super-excited to announce that beginning next week, I will have 30 days of guest posts on my blog for a series called “Sewing Back-To-School”. Every day will be a chance to learn something new. The series is targeted at those new to sewing, but there are even topics that I’m looking forward to reading and learning from!
Here is the schedule of posts; feel free to bookmark this main post, as I will be updating the topics with links to the posts once they are published. As you can see, this is quite the group of accomplished seamstresses!
Aug 29 – Amanda Murphy from Amanda Murphy Design – Buttons and Buttonholes
Sept 2 – Megan from Canoe Ridge Creations – Free Motion and Other Quilting Options
I hope you’ll be able to check out at least some of the guest posts! I’ve had a sneak-peak glance at some of the articles so far, and they’re definitely something you’ll want to see. 😉
I can’t wait for the whole series!
Wow, this arrived quickly!
What a great idea! As a quilter that just started sewing in the last few years, I know I have searched for most if not all of these topics, so putting them all in one place is an amazing idea!
Oh wow ! Great! There are few Sewing & Pattern Making Tutorials i have on my blog Cute Confessions of a Sew Addict – Adithis Amma Sews. I would be glad if you can check them out. I am also open to making guest post tutorial if someone feels like inviting me!
Oh how cool, looking forward to checking these out :o)
This sounds so perfect! Looking forward to the many topics! Thank you.
Oh man. I’m defiantly bookmarking this page to check back each and everyone of those days. I’ve only been sewing for like 7 months and just kind of self teaching myself. These will really be helpful!! Thanks for doing this!!!!
I shared today on Lindsay Sews and Craft Buds!
You have done a great job putting this together, Sara!
I love that carry all bag pictured above in purple and teal. Do you have instructions for that bag? Thanks for the informative “back to school” post series.
Wowwwww, great work.
Thanks again.
Rosa
Loved all the info on sewing basics. I read your blog about interfacing and you mentioned something about a pressing cloth. What is that exactly and what do I need it for? Thanks!

Thank you Sara, your many posts and tutorials have answered many of my questions I’ve had since beginning to quilt.
